Removalists in Greenwich
Most streets here only go one way, and then stop.
Greenwich sits on a peninsula of dead-end streets running down toward the river. Several of them are too steep or too narrow to take a full-size truck to the door, so the first question is always where the vehicle can actually stand.

- The main constraint
- No-through streets on a slope. Turning a large truck at the bottom of a Greenwich cul-de-sac is often impossible, which rules the vehicle out before anything is loaded.
- How we handle it
- We plan the position first and shuttle where we have to. A smaller truck making two runs from a larger one parked higher up is slower, but it is predictable and it is quoted that way.
- Typical job
- Three to five bedroom homes, many stepping down the block toward the water, with substantial furniture. A full day or more.
- Access
- Waterfront and near-waterfront houses frequently sit well below the road with a private stair as the only route. That carry is the job, and it is measured.
- Specialist items
- Pianos, large artwork and outdoor furniture built for the view. Surveyed and quoted separately.
- On-site quotes
- Free, and strongly recommended. The difference between a street we can back down and one we cannot is the difference between two very different prices.
Where the truck stops is the first decision, not the last.
On a peninsula of dead ends, a crew that arrives and improvises has already lost an hour. We would rather spend ten minutes beforehand deciding whether the vehicle goes to the door, stands at the top, or shuttles.
It is not a difficult problem once it is asked in advance. It is an expensive one when it is asked at eight in the morning with the truck already committed to the street.
- 01 Street and turning circle checked before the day
- 02 Shuttle planned where the street will not take a truck
- 03 Private stair carries down to the house measured
- 04 Pianos and artwork surveyed separately
- 05 Floors and decking protected on the carry
- 06 Storage where settlement dates do not align
01 Can the truck turn around at the end of my street?
Often not, and that is precisely what we check before quoting. Where it cannot, we shuttle from a position higher up, which is slower but entirely workable.
02 My house is well below the road. Does that change the price?
It changes the hours, because everything comes up by hand. We measure the stair run when we quote and set the crew size so the job still finishes in a day.
03 Can you move a piano up from a lower level?
Yes, after surveying it. Depending on the stair we either skid and carry it or arrange a hoist, and either way it is priced before you commit.
04 Do you cover Longueville, Lane Cove and Wollstonecraft?
Yes, and the rest of the Lower North Shore.
How it went for other people.

We've used Sydney Relocators twice now for house and office moves. Ansul talks you through exactly how the job will run before he starts, so there are no surprises on the day.

Ansul and the team were professional and clearly knew what they were doing, right down to reassembling the furniture at the other end. Easily the best removalist I've used in Sydney.
Neha S.
The crew turned up right on time and worked hard the whole way through. They were careful with the building's walls and lifts, and wrapped every piece of furniture properly.
Shweta A.
A genuinely stress-free move from start to finish. The team was professional and efficient, and even helped us pick up an extra piece of furniture along the way.
Amin B.
Second time booking Sydney Relocators and it was outstanding again. Ansul and his crew kept everything smooth and organised — we'll be calling them for the next move too.

I spent hours comparing companies before booking — a lot of the '5-star' ones had a pattern of one-star complaints about damage once you dug in. Ansul and Vishal were a different standard entirely.
Dipankar C.
Used them again for our latest move and they were excellent as always. Ansul's team disassembled and reassembled every piece of furniture with real care — the workmanship is second to none.
Ramakrishnan N.
Moved us from Parramatta to Stanhope Gardens and the service was outstanding throughout. The team was punctual, professional, and particularly skilled at dismantling and reassembling furniture.
