In a 1930s block the lift was sized for two people and a suitcase. A modern three-seater sofa, a queen mattress or a full-height bookcase simply does not go in, whatever the floor number says.

01 My building has a lift. Is that enough?
Not always. A lot of Potts Point lifts will not take a sofa or a queen mattress. We check the internal dimensions when we quote so the stair carry, if there is one, is in the price from the start.
02 Do I need a council permit?
Usually. Permit zones and clearways cover most of the area. We apply for the temporary permit, but the council needs notice, so book with some lead time.
03 Does my building restrict moving hours?
Many do, typically weekdays inside set hours. Tell us the building and we will confirm it with the manager and send the certificate of currency they will want.
