- Internal width. Federation hallways, panelled doorways and tight turns at the stair are common, and modern furniture is built to a scale those houses never anticipated.

- We protect the frames and the floors as a matter of course, dismantle what needs it, and allow the time rather than forcing a piece through a doorway that will mark.

- Three to five bedroom family homes with a garage, a shed and a good deal more in them than expected. A full day, sometimes more.

- Most streets take a truck comfortably. The exceptions are the narrower streets falling away toward Flat Rock Gully, which we check beforehand.

01 Will you mark my original floorboards?
Not if we are doing the job properly. Runners go down before anything moves, and heavy pieces go on trolleys with clean wheels rather than being walked across the boards.
02 My hallway is very narrow. Does everything still fit?
Most things do, some need dismantling, and occasionally something has to go out a window or a French door instead. We work that out when we quote so there is no debate on the day.
03 How long does a four-bedroom Willoughby house take?
Usually a full day with the right crew size, longer where there is a large shed or a piano. We would rather put the extra person on than run into the evening.
